Vicky Kaushal told in an interview to ‘Zoom TV’ how he faced rejection in the audition. Vicky Kaushal had said, ‘When you start giving auditions, you come to know how much water you are in. Because you are competing with thousands of people who have come for the same job. You stand in long lines with other actors. And then there are actors who are sitting inside and are amazing actors and are doing better than you. Sometimes these things overwhelm you and you feel insecure.
Failed in one thousand auditions
Vicky Kaushal further said, ‘But people don’t think that if I crack 10 auditions then I have failed in a thousand auditions. I got rejected in 1000 auditions and got selected in only 10. So only 10 opportunities are visible. And everyone thinks that hey he got it easily. I didn’t have any option. I knew I didn’t have a safety net. If I fall from here, I will fall straight down. I did not have any plan B, which would have given me courage.
Born in chawl, money tight
Vicky Kaushal was born in a Chawl in Mumbai. In childhood, he and the family saw a lot of financial constraints. When Vicky Kaushal was studying, he changed his mind during a tour of an IT company. They thought that nothing is kept in the job, something else has to be done. Vicky Kaushal then thought of making a career in acting. He took admission in Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting academy.
