Born on 28 January 1933 in Jamshedpur, Manmohan achieved great fame in the role of Villain. Not only did he work in Hindi but also in Bengali, Gujarati and Punjabi films. Since childhood, Manmohan was fond of acting, so he moved to Mumbai. It is said about Manmohan that if Manoj Kumar, Shakti Samanta and Pramod Chakraborty used to make a film, they used to give roles in their films without asking them.
Manmohan had made such a coin in the film industry as a villain that not one or two but 14 full films were released in a single month. Actually it is said about him that he could never refuse anyone for work. His close friends used to tell that he was very fond of acting since childhood. Manmohan’s nephew Vinay once told the media that ‘a program of Mukri, Tuntun, a famous comedy actor of that era, was to be held in the mango plantation of Sakchi in Jamshedpur. This team was staying in a hotel there.
