Gangster Anandpal Singh Encounter Case: Murder case will be filed against SP and other policemen who did encounter of gangster Anandpal Singh

New Delhi. A murder case will be filed against the SP and other policemen involved in the encounter of Rajasthan’s famous gangster Anandpal Singh. The CBI court of Jodhpur has made Churu’s then SP Rahul Barhat, the then Additional SP Vidya Prakash Chaudhary, DSP Suryaveer Singh Rathore and Head Constable Kailash accused under section 302 in this case. The court has also rejected the CBI’s closure report. Rajasthan’s SOG team had encountered Anandpal on 24 June 2017. The gangster’s family had filed a case calling this encounter fake. The Vasundhara Raje government had ordered a CBI inquiry into this encounter.

In the court, Anandpal’s wife’s lawyer Bhanwar Singh questioned the CBI’s closure report and said that there were injury marks on Anandpal’s body. The closure report clearly states that Anandpal was shot from a very close range which shows that Anandpal was first caught, then beaten and later shot dead and it was given the form of an encounter. The police had claimed in its report that Anandpal’s companions had informed the police that he was hiding in Malasar village of Churu.

After reaching Malasar, the SOG team surrounded the area and asked Anandpal to surrender. But Anandpal started firing from the roof of the house where he was hiding. In response, the SOG team also opened fire in which Anandpal died. He was hit by 6 bullets. The police team that encountered Anandpal was honored and was also given promotion. According to the police, Anandpal liked underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Even while in jail, he kept reading books written on Dawood.
