Benefits of consuming curd according to Ayurveda: According to Ayurveda, limited and timely consumption of curd is very beneficial for health. Ayurveda expert Dr Diksa Bhavsar Savaliya recently shared a post on her Instagram in which she explained how curd is seen according to Ayurveda.
He clarified in the caption that curd is sour in taste, hot in nature, heavy to digest i.e. it gets digested for a long time after eating it. Dr Savalia also said that curd is best for weight gain, consuming it increases the amount of fat in the body and gives energy to the body.
Curd increases kapha and pitta (low vata) and improves digestion power (agni).
