Jaipur. On the very first Monday of Sawan in Rajasthan, Indradev showed such kindness that many areas of the state including Jaipur got drenched in rain. It is a different matter that rain showed great discrimination in Jaipur. In some areas of Jaipur, the clouds rained heavily while in some areas not even a drop of rain fell. The Meteorological Department has warned of very heavy rain in Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli and Jhunjhunu today. At the same time, an alert has been issued for heavy rain in Alwar, Bharatpur, Bundi, Dholpur, Jaipur, Sikar, Churu and Tonk.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a forecast of rain in the whole of Rajasthan today except Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Barmer of western Rajasthan. Very heavy rains may occur in four districts and heavy rains in eight districts. Therefore, people of these areas should remain alert. In view of the alert of very heavy and heavy rains, the Disaster Relief Management Department has also geared up. According to the IMD, heavy rains are expected in some areas of Shekhawati including Bharatpur and Jaipur divisions on 23 and 24 July. Heavy rains may occur at some places in Kota, Udaipur and Ajmer divisions on 24 and 25 July.

Clouds rained heavily in Jaipur, Jhunjhunu and Jaisalmer
Earlier on Monday, it rained heavily in Jaipur, Jhunjhunu and Jaisalmer. While there was scattered rain in Jaipur, there was heavy rain with strong winds in Mohangarh area of Jaisalmer. Due to the rain, rivers of water started flowing on the roads in both Jaipur and Mohangarh. At the same time, there was a period of heavy rain in Jhunjhunu city of Shekhawati and its surrounding areas. Due to the continuous rain in the state, there is a good inflow of water in rivers, drains, dams and ponds.
