Hepatitis infection can be prevented and its treatment is also possible. Some hepatitis vaccines are also available.

What are the reasons for hepatitis infection

Dr Rawat said that hepatitis A infection can occur due to eating contaminated food and drinking dirty water. This infection can occur due to unhealthy eating and drinking. Hepatitis B and hepatitis C can occur due to blood transfusion, needle injury, body fluids and unsafe sex. Sometimes this infection can reach the child from the mother during pregnancy. Drinking too much alcohol can cause alcoholic hepatitis. Apart from this, there are many types of hepatitis, which are caused by viral infection. If these infections are not treated for a long time, the liver’s ability to produce digestive juice decreases and liver failure can occur.

4 crore people are victims of chronic hepatitis B

Hepatitis B and C are the most common in India. According to statistics, about 4 crore people suffer from chronic hepatitis B and 60 lakh to 1.2 crore people suffer from chronic hepatitis C. A lot of cases of hepatitis B and C come from Noida, Greater Noida and its surrounding areas. Especially during the rainy season, cases of hepatitis A and E increase due to contaminated food and water.

What are the main symptoms of hepatitis infection

Dr Apoorva said that the symptoms of hepatitis include fatigue, fever, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and jaundice in the body. If people see any of these symptoms, they should consult a doctor and get tested. Treatment for all types of hepatitis infection is available. Hepatitis B vaccine is available, which can reduce the risk of this infection. All people should get their liver checked from time to time. Especially older people should take special care of the liver. If any liver infection is detected in time, it can be controlled with treatment.
