IAS Puja Khedkar: A new thing has come to light in the case of trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar. This time the revelation is about her parents which is shocking. Let us tell you that after the allegation of using OBC non-cream layer certificate, every aspect of Pooja Khedkar is being investigated closely. In this sequence, the central government had instructed Pune Police to investigate the marital status and divorce of Pooja Khedkar’s parents Manorama Khedkar and Dilip Khedkar. After which a shocking revelation has been made. Pooja Khedkar had told in an earlier interview that her parents have separated and she lives separately from her father but the truth in the investigation is contrary to this.
What is the claim and what is the reality
Pooja Khedkar is accused of wrongly taking advantage of the OBC non-creamy layer quota in the UPSC exam. Not only this, she made another false claim to take advantage of this quota that her parents are separated. During a mock interview of Pooja Khedkar, she claimed that her parents are divorced and she lives with her mother. Her father lives separately from them. Several media reports have said that it has come to light that the information given earlier was not completely correct. An India Today report said that the parents of trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar, Manorama and Dilip Khedkar, applied for divorce by mutual consent in the Pune Family Court in 2009. This divorce was finally approved on June 25, 2010. Despite this, both were allegedly living together in a bungalow in Baner area of Pune. This bungalow is in the name of Manorama Khedkar.
Wife was also mentioned in the election affidavit
Apart from this, it is being told that Puja Khedkar’s father Dilip Khedkar has also declared Manorama Khedkar as his wife in his Lok Sabha election affidavit. Manorama and himself have been declared as an undivided Hindu family. Not only this, Dilip and Manorama have been noticed attending many public events as a married couple. Not only this, Dilip Khedkar has declared his total assets to be more than Rs 40 crore in the election affidavit and has also given details of his and his wife’s shared assets in the affidavit.
Dilip Khedkar is a retired officer
Pooja Khedkar’s father Dilip Khedkar has been a government officer and is currently retired. In the year 2024, he contested from Ahmednagar Lok Sabha seat on the ticket of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), but he lost the election. Here Pooja Khedkar was asked to report to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) Mussoorie by July 23. Where she has not reached yet. Manorama Khedkar is in jail in a criminal case on charges of threatening farmers. Pune Rural Police arrested her for threatening a farmer with a gun. Dilip Khedkar is also an accused in the same case. He has got interim bail from a Pune court till July 25.
