Smriti Mandhana scored the most runs from India. Mandhana played an innings of 45 runs. After defeating Pakistan in the first match of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup cricket tournament on Friday, Indian team captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that her bowlers and opening batsmen did their job well.
Harmanpreet said after the match, “Our bowlers and openers did their job. The first match is always full of pressure because you have to create a rhythm. Our whole team played well. When we were bowling, we were talking about taking wickets early. The credit for batting goes to Smriti and Shefali. We want to play fearless cricket like this.”

Veteran bowler Deepti Sharma was the ‘Player of the Match’ who took three wickets. She said, “I was able to bowl according to the plan, which made me feel good. I was confident. Nida Dar is a good player, her wicket was important. “
Talking about the match, in the Women’s Asia Cup being played in Sri Lanka, Pakistani captain Nida Dar won the toss and decided to bat first, which did not prove to be fruitful for them. Indian bowlers did not let Pakistan survive even for the full 20 overs and stopped their innings at 108 runs in 19.2 overs.
