Opener Smriti Mandhana played an unbeaten innings of 55 runs while Shefali Verma returned unbeaten after scoring 26 runs.

In the match played at Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh batted first and scored 80 runs for 8 wickets. Renuka Singh and Radha Yadav took 3-3 wickets for India (IND vs BAN). In reply, India scored 83 runs in 66 balls and won the match. Team India remained undefeated and booked a ticket to the final. Mandhana and Shefali gave India a great start.
