India’s archery team will be seen in action today at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Paris Olympics 2024 India’s Schedule On 25th July: The Olympic Games have started in Paris, the capital of France, in which football and rugby sevens matches were played on 24 July. Apart from these two events, on 25 July i.e. today, there will be men and women events of handball and archery in which Indian athletes will also be seen in action. The Paris Olympic Games will officially begin with the opening ceremony on 26 July. This time around 10,500 athletes from different countries are participating in the Olympics.
Archery team will participate in the ranking round
On 25 July, the entire Indian team of 6 archers who went to Paris Olympics will be seen in action, in which all will aim at the Archery Ranking Round in Les Invalides. Before Paris Olympics, the entire team of Archery team had participated in 2012 London Olympics. This time, apart from men’s team and individual, the archery team will be seen in action in all 5 events of women’s team and individual along with mixed team. The ranking round to be held on 25 July is also very important for the Indian Archery Team.
Top-4 in the ranking round will get a direct place in the quarterfinals
If we talk about the ranking round of Archery in Paris Olympics, then the top 4 teams will directly make their place in the quarterfinals while the remaining 4 teams will be decided by the match between the teams ranked up to 12th. At the same time, qualification will be decided in the mixed ranking round event of Archery in which only the top-16 teams will be able to secure their place. Apart from Deepika Kumari, Bhajan Kaur, Ankita Bhakat, Tarundeep Rai, Praveen Jadhav and Dheeraj Bommadevara are included in this ranking event of Archery from India.
