In view of the possibility of cross-border terrorism from Pakistan and the threat to Indian cricketers, the government has not given permission to BCCI to send a team for a long time. Whereas, the government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Cricket Board PCB have been constantly demanding that the Indian cricket team tour their country. Now if the Indian team does not play matches in Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, then there may be a conflict between BCCI and PCB regarding this. However, the decision of the ICC will be final in this matter. Let us tell you that earlier also in international competitions, the Indian cricket team has played matches against Pakistan in Dubai.
Earlier, in the schedule of the Champions Cup Trophy sent by the PCB to the ICC, the match between India and Pakistan was scheduled to be held in Lahore on 1 March 2025. The Champions Cup Trophy matches were to be held in Pakistan from 19 February to 9 March 2025. Now if India’s matches are held in Dubai or Sri Lanka, then the cricket fans of Pakistan will not be able to watch the match here. According to the Pakistani media, out of 15 matches, PCB had scheduled 7 matches in Lahore, 5 matches in Rawalpindi and 3 matches in Karachi. The PCB said that all the matches have been kept in Lahore for the security of the Indian team.
