The Indian men’s 4x400m relay team qualified for the Paris Olympics by finishing second in the second round heat of the World Athletics Relays. The men’s team of Muhammad Anas Yahiya, Muhammad Ajmal, Arokia Rajiv and Amoj Jacob completed the race with a collective time of 3:03.23 and finished second in their heat behind USA (2:59.95). The top two teams in each of the three heats in the second round qualified for the Olympics.
