Instant OPD registration, free medicines, these 5 big facilities started in Delhi's RML hospital, patients will benefit


RML Hospital new Delhi: There is good news for the patients coming for treatment at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi. Till now, the patients who used to stand in long queues to get OPD registration done are now going to get relief from this. Five major facilities have been started for patients and doctors in RML.

These are the five major facilities.

1. OPD Registration Hall (23 counters)
2. Free hospital pharmacy (10 counters);
3. 3 waiting areas for patients and attendants to wait
4. Reading Room for UG & PG Students (Seating Capacity of 106 Students)
5. Office space at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences (seating capacity 42)

To provide the best medical care to the patients at RML, on Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India Secretary Apurva Chandra And RML Director and MS Dr. Ajay Shukla inaugurated all these facilities.

Earlier there were only 10 counters

MS of the hospital, Dr. Ajay Shukla, said that 8 thousand patients come to the OPD every day.

Regarding this, Dr. Ajay Shukla said that till now there were a total of 10 counters in the hospital for OPD registration, although these were made when the number of patients in OPD was around 3 thousand daily but now the number of patients coming here has increased to 8 thousand, in such a situation, with these counters increasing to 23, patients will not have to stand in long queues and registration will be done quickly and easily.

There was a long queue for free medicine

Dr. Shukla said that till now there were only 5 counters for free medicines in the hospital. Due to which there was a huge crowd of patients and one had to wait to get medicines. By increasing them to 10 now, patients and their relatives will get relief here too. Also, 3 waiting areas have been made in the RML hospital premises for the patients and their relatives who wait in the heat. These are air conditioned. In such a situation, now the patients will have minimum trouble.

Doctors will also get benefit

Keeping in mind the needs of UG-PG students, it will be very beneficial to provide separate study rooms and office space for their studies. Dr. Shukla said that more facilities will be started soon. Efforts are being made to make RML Hospital a better medical care center. During this, Dean Prof. Aarti Maria, Additional MS Prof. Manoj Kumar Jha, Dr. Neera Sharma, BK Kundu, Dr. RK Modi etc. were present.
