Antagarh. Lord Shiva, the God of gods, ie Mahadev, created the world on this day i.e. in the month of Falgun by taking a formless form in the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha, according to the belief, Lord Shiva was married to Mother Parvati on this day. The festival of Mahashivratri is being celebrated in the same form for centuries, in the Shiva temple located in Nayapara of Antagarh, there is a long queue of devotees since morning. For years, a fair is also being organized in Mahashivratri in the Shiva temple located in Nayapara of Antagarh, as well as the deities of the region also meet in this event.
Traditionally this festival is being celebrated for years in the presence of deities. In the last few years, such events were banned due to Corona, but this year on the occasion of Mahashivratri, crowds of devotees started gathering in the Shiva temple since morning. In this program, the local public representatives were present, in which city panchayat president Radhelal Nag, former MLA Bhojraj Nag, city panchayat vice-president Amalu Narwas and other public representatives were present.
Devotees performed Havan on Mahashivratri
Devotees offered special worship on the occasion of Shivratri at the Shiva temple located opposite the police line in Rajapara ward of the city. During this Maha Yagya and Maha Aarti were organized. The Havan-Poojan was performed by Pandit Krishnadhar Mishra. During this, Ajay Pappu Motwani, Dharmendra Pratap Dev, Jitendra Pratap Dev, Rajesh Chauhan, Charan Yadav, Sanjay Manshani, Sanjay Thakur, Sanjay Motwani, Ravi Patel, Manoj Dubey, Amar Motwani, Shailendra Dehari, Prateek Patel, Laxmi Dehari, Anju Negi, Surekha Yadav, Sapna De, Saroj Yadav and other devotees were present. After which Prasad was distributed to the devotees.
