Police station in-charge Sharad Dubey said that on the complaint of the applicant, a crime was registered against the unknown accused and taken up for investigation.
During the investigation CCTV footage was observed. In which a young man was seen stealing the battery from the auto during the night. When the accused youth was identified as Rupit Sharma (20), resident of Aghannagar Kanker, he was taken into custody and questioned. In which he confessed to having committed the crime. On the behest of the accused youth, the battery, which was kept hidden near the house, was recovered. Along with this, the motorcycle used in the theft incident has also been seized from the possession of the accused youth. The accused youth was produced before the court, from where he was sent to jail on judicial remand.
