Kanker. Seven-day special camp program was started by NSS volunteers of Agriculture College and Research Center Singarbhat in village Kulgaon. In which Sarpanch Kamlesh Padmakar and Dean Dr. Dev Shankar Agricultural College and Research Center, Singarbhat Kanker and professors in which NSS in-charge Dr. Pramod Kumar Netam Dr. Phoolsingh Markam and other dignitaries were present as chief guest in the inauguration ceremony.
Inaugural program was done by the Dean, Sarpanch and all the professors and dignitaries by lighting a lamp in the statue of Maa Saraswati.
Pramod Kumar Netam, in view of the problem of the village, suggested to solve the problem by doing public relations under the NSS program. The village sarpanch told that the volunteers were assured of the help of themselves and the dignitaries in resolving the problems of the village. Dr. PS Markam uplifted the spirits of the volunteers and motivated the volunteers for the work of village welfare. Dr. Dev Shankar, Dean of Agriculture College, congratulated all the guests and volunteers and mentioned the work done in village Kulgaon during the last years and volunteers to introduce new techniques to be used in agriculture in the village under the National Service Scheme. By reaching the farmers and motivating to increase the yield.
Medicinal plants being planted in school premises
Plantation of forest medicinal plants is being done under the School Herbal Garden project in the secondary and primary school schools of Charama block. The work of planting vegetable plants is being done by Chhattisgarh Tribal Local Health Tradition and Medicine Plant Board, Raipur, Chhattisgarh Government, through Janadhar Kaushal Vikas Sansthan, through which the students of schools are being given detailed information about forest medicinal plants. Is. And the utility and identification of plants is being done. Information is being made about home remedies from medicinal plants, due to the usefulness of medicinal plants to the students, students will be able to store these plants themselves in future and in future these medicinal plants can be used in diseases. That is why at present, the work of planting forest medicinal plants is being done continuously in almost all the primary and secondary schools of the block.
