The pre-evaluation team of AFD of France agency reached Jaipur on Monday to discuss the DPR of the new project “Rajasthan Forestry and Bio-diversity Development” project of the Forest Department of France and the state. At the headquarters located at Aranya Bhawan, the team had an in-depth discussion with the top officials of the forest department about the project.
During the meeting, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Forest-force Chief) Dr. Deep Narayan Pandey, while describing the said project as very important from the point of view of Rajasthan, said that through this works of environment, forest and wildlife conservation would be done. He said that after the coming of this project, wildlife and biodiversity will get a boost within the state. All the administrative and financial questions asked by the AFD team were also answered by him.
Dr. Pandey told that the “Rajasthan Forestry and Bio-diversity Development” project is to be started jointly by France and the Forest Department. After getting approval from the state government, this project was sent to the Government of India last year. The AFD team of the French agency came in August and November last year to discuss the same project. AFD’s pre-evaluation team led by leader Mr. Gullium Chiron reached Jaipur on Monday to discuss the DPR of this project. In the team Mr. Emmanuel Forman, Mr. Brunche Vosley, Mrs. Agathe Dumas and Mr. Emmanuel Foreman were also present.
