New Delhi. Yogi government will provide pure drinking water to the children to protect them from diseases caused by contaminated water. Under the Chief Minister’s RO Drinking Water Scheme, water purification plants based on ultrafiltration technology will be installed in 28041 schools in 14 districts of the state so that pure water is available to the children to drink. Yogi government is working continuously to provide pure drinking water to all in the state. In this direction, it is the endeavor of the State Government to make available pure drinking water to the children in schools. After the success of Operation Kayakalp, the Yogi government has taken up this campaign.
Initially, the government is going to set up water treatment plants in 28041 schools in 14 districts of the state, which will be done later in the entire state. Provision has been made for this in the budget of 2022-23. Its biggest advantage is that it will save children from diseases caused by contaminated water. This will also go a long way in the prevention of communicable diseases.
It is worth noting that the Yogi government is working to provide pure drinking water in areas like Bundelkhand, where no other government had even thought in this direction since independence. In the budget of 2021-22, the Yogi government had made a budget provision of Rs 15,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission, against which a provision of Rs 19,500 crore has been made in the budget of 2022-23.
