Chhatarpur (New Dunia Representative). A temporary electrician working at the power station of Badamalhara has died after being electrocuted while repairing the light. Angry over his death, on Tuesday morning, in front of the electricity office in Chhatarpur, the family members demonstrated by placing the dead body on the highway. Later, on the advice of the officials, he opened the jam and took the dead body for the last rites.
According to the information, Dharmendra Khare, who lives in ward number 39 behind Hanuman Toriya in Chhatarpur, is 36 years old son. Munnilal Khare was working as a driver at Dargunwa sub-station of Baramalhara area, outsourcing power station. Last day, due to power failure in Darguwan, the lineman posted there asked Dharmendra Khare for improvement work on the current line without closing the line. During this, he came in contact with a wire due to which he died after falling down from the pole due to electrocution. On Tuesday morning, the family members came to Chhatarpur from the department’s vehicle and blocked the highway by protesting by placing the dead body directly in front of the office of the power company located on the Jhansi-Gwalior National Highway. The family alleged that Dharmendra died due to the negligence of the lineman of the power company. He said that the driver’s job is to drive the vehicle and not to repair the electricity by climbing a pole, while he has been forcibly mounted on the pole and pushed to death. Now his family needs help now. After protesting for a long time, officers of City Kotwali Police, SDM, CSP and electricity company reached there. After his persuasion, the anger of the family subsided, SDM Vinay Dwivedi assured to give immediate assistance of Rs 20 thousand to the victim’s family and all possible help from the officials of the power company department. After this the family took the dead body for the last rites.
