Said to solve the problem diplomatically
The PMO further said that PM Modi reiterated India’s persistent appeal to end hostilities and resolve the problem through dialogue and diplomacy. He emphasized India’s belief that respect for international law, the United Nations and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all states is the cornerstone of the contemporary world order.
At the same time, Prime Minister Modi welcomed the talks between the two sides in the midst of the war and stressed the importance of ensuring free and unhindered humanitarian access and smooth movement of all people.
The PMO said in the statement that PM Modi informed President Macron about the work done for Ukraine. He also informed about India’s efforts to evacuate its civilians from war-torn areas and to send immediate relief material including medicines to the affected population.
