New rules are being introduced across the country regarding the transport system so that the safety rating of the people can be increased. Road safety is still a big issue in India due to which thousands of families are rendered homeless every year. Recently, the accident of Cyrus Mistry, who was traveling in a very premium vehicle, shook the entire country.
The new rule came into effect from March 1.
Now in the country, from January 1, the Mumbai Police has made it mandatory for all the passengers to wear seat belts on the back seat after sitting in their vehicles. People who do not follow will be challaned and fined during traffic checking. Public information for this checking has been issued by the Mumbai Police 15 days ago.
New system for old vehicles.
In very old vehicles, seat belts etc. were not present in the rear seat, but the Mumbai Police has informed people to install it outside by retrofitting. People have been asked to compulsorily install seat belts on the rear seat of the vehicle from their service centers or retrofitting shops.
Campaign is going on in Delhi.
A notification has already been issued regarding these things in Delhi and rear seat belts are being checked. Especially at the entry and exit of the expressway, its checking is being done with great promptness and people are being challaned for not following it.
If you have not used the seat belt till now, then start using the seat belt immediately, otherwise very soon traffic police can be challaned anywhere.
