New Delhi. The latest news about Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has come from Tihar Jail. According to the Superintendent of Tihar Jail, Arvind Kejriwal has been given insulin. For the first time after his arrest by ED, Arvind Kejriwal was given insulin. Arvind Kejriwal had issued a letter on Monday saying that his sugar level was going very high and he had demanded insulin from the jail authorities. It is being told that Arvind Kejriwal’s sugar level had reached 320. Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party leaders were continuously alleging that insulin was not being given to Arvind Kejriwal despite the need. He had described Kejriwal’s life as a threat.
Arvind Kejriwal had filed an application in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court citing his diabetes. In this petition, Arvind Kejriwal had demanded that he should be allowed to consult his doctor every day through video conferencing. Rouse Avenue Court Judge Kaveri Baweja had rejected Arvind Kejriwal’s application on Monday. However, the judge had said in his order that if Arvind Kejriwal needs special consultation for health, then the jail authorities should provide medical help to Kejriwal by getting a medical board constituted on behalf of the director of AIIMS Delhi. On the basis of documents, the court had also found that Arvind Kejriwal was not taking insulin since February 2024.
Rouse Avenue Court, while hearing Kejriwal’s application, had also expressed surprise that being a diabetic, food is not coming from home as per the diet chart fixed for Arvind Kejriwal. Let us tell you that recently the jail administration had released a list of what food came from home for Arvind Kejriwal. It was written in it that Kejriwal ate puri, vegetables, sweets and mango. Whereas, all this is prohibited for diabetic patients. Even in the diet chart of Arvind Kejriwal, the doctor had not written puri, vegetables, mangoes and sweets. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21. ED alleges that Arvind Kejriwal is the kingpin of the liquor scam.
