He also informed that the Assam government is handing over some drug cases to the NCB so that they can get to the root of the matter, which is not under our jurisdiction. We hope that Assam will become a role model after five years.
The decision to change the name of Kamakhya Temple Road is back
Meanwhile, the Assam government has withdrawn its decision to name a new road after Swami Muktananda Saraswati. Earlier the government had announced renaming of roads to reflect the cultural ethos of the state. Common people protested this on social media. Most of the people claimed that the person after whom the road is being named has nothing to do with Assam or its people.
