Expansion
The Australian team led by Pat Cummins has reached Pakistan. Three Tests, three ODIs and one T20 match will be played between Australia and Pakistan here. After reaching Pakistan on Sunday, the Australian players have started practicing and the first Test match between the two teams will start from March 4. After this, from March 29, the ODI series and T20 matches will be played on April 5. Pakistan Army and 4,000 security personnel have been deployed for the security of Australian players.
This will be the Kangaroo team’s first overseas Test after the resignation of Australia coach Justin Langer. At present, Andrew McDonald remains the coach of the Australian team temporarily.
Pakistan Army and four thousand security personnel deployed in the security of the players
The Pakistani Army and four thousand security personnel have been deployed for the security of Australian players. Snipers have also been deployed on several buildings. Food stalls and mango parks near the cricket stadium will also remain closed. Mobile service will remain suspended during the team’s journey and the Metro bus route will be limited. Earlier, the New Zealand team had come on a tour of Pakistan, but returned without playing any match. At the same time, England also canceled its tour before it started. New Zealand had cited security reasons for canceling their tour. For this reason, the Pakistan Cricket Board is not trying to leave any stone unturned in the security of Australian players.
In 2009, the Sri Lankan team that went to Pakistan was attacked. Since then international cricket is not being played in Pakistan. Teams like Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe have toured here, but the big teams haven’t played matches in Pakistan.
