Expansion
The Bhima Koregaon Commission of Inquiry has given more time to NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) chief Sharad Pawar to file an additional affidavit, exempting him from summons issued for February 23-24.
Pawar had filed an application before the commission seeking time to file an additional affidavit. The commission’s counsel Ashish Satpute told that Pawar’s application has been accepted. The commission’s meeting will now be held in Pune in March.
Earlier, the panel had summoned Pawar in 2020, but he did not appear due to the lockdown caused by the corona virus. Earlier in the day, Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik had released the video saying that Pawar would not appear before the commission on 23-24. He will participate in future hearings.
