Congress in Madhya Pradesh: Bhopal (State Bureau). The coming 19 months in Madhya Pradesh are a time of examination for us. Don’t limit yourself to letter heads. Now there is a need to show work on the ground. Departments and cells have been formed to strengthen the organization. For those presidents who will not work, we will have to find alternatives because now the competition is one-sided. Any negligence in this cannot be tolerated at any level. State Congress President Kamal Nath said this in a meeting of the departments and cells of the state unit on Monday. In the meeting held at the residence of the former Chief Minister, he said that the Congress is not competing with the leaders of the BJP but its organization. They are adept at diverting public attention from issues and confusing them. These can be countered only by the strength of the organization. For this, various departments and cells have been constituted so that the word of the party can reach among all sections of the society.
It is the responsibility of all the presidents to understand their role and give full time to the organization. Form an executive at the state and district level and prepare an action plan for each month and submit a compliance report to the state organization. Now 19 months are left for the assembly elections, so work will have to be done on a war footing. Membership drive is being run till 31st March 2022. Make all the cells five thousand new members. The officers of the organization told the state president that we should get a place in the programs organized at the district level and also get the support of the organization at the local level.
In the meeting, Deepak Jan, Coordinator of All India Congress Committee and President of State Congress IT Department Abhay Tiwari informed about digital membership to the office bearers of the cells. During this, state Congress vice-president Chandraprabhash Shekhar, former assembly speaker NP Prajapati, former minister Sajjan Singh Verma, membership in-charge Prakash Jain, general secretary Rajiv Singh and in-charge of cells JP Dhanopia were present.
