Bhopal (New World Representative). It has been 11 years since the establishment of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University located in village Mughalia Kot, but till now the educational level has not improved. A grand building worth Rs 44 crore has been built in the university. Even three hostels in the university and a bungalow worth crores of rupees for the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar are ready, but there is no one living in it. Vice Chancellor Khem Singh Dahria has allotted his residence in 74 bungalows and the Registrar is living in the same bungalow which he got while living in the former university.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Daheria says that out of 49 crores, only 44 crores have been received from the government. There is still Rs 5 crore left. As soon as the budget is available. We will also shift after getting the hostel and building ready.
Let us inform that during the tenure of the then Vice-Chancellor Ramdev Bhardwaj in the university, the Tantya Bhil hostel was also inaugurated on July 6, 2021, but to no avail to the students. There is a bus for the movement of students, but that too is only for nominal, it has not been used yet. Even from the Higher Education Minister to the MP have attended the launch program as the chief guest. Lakhs of rupees were also spent in the program, but till now the hostel to the residence has been deserted. Students say that due to the high distance of the university from the city, they hardly reach four days in a month. For a day, a student has to spend 150 to 200 rupees to travel. In such a situation, students are not able to reach the university.
The entire campus of the university is in bad shape
The entire campus of this university, spread over 50 acres, looks in disrepair. Bushes have grown everywhere inside the campus. The sports stadium and the new hostel have also reached a dilapidated condition. Many rooms in the main building are locked, because in many departments there are only one or two students and they do not even come, so there is no need to open the room. Many rooms including Sanskrit, Panchakarma are locked in the university.
Classes are being run on the basis of guests
Classes are being conducted by keeping 29 guest scholars in the university. They get a salary of 50 to 60 thousand rupees. If recruitment is done on 38 approved posts on staff and non-academic posts including regular professors in the university, then it will cost three to four crore rupees, while the university gets three crore 72 lakh rupees from the government.
