The actors of The Rising Society of Art and Culture acted in the play. The director of the play Preeti Jha Tiwari told that the play tells its purpose across the border only in its name, but what are those boundaries, this has been explored in the play.
How did the great playwright Bharatendu see these limits, his rebellious nature about life and how he felt in his last days, how he faced death and transcended limits. All this was shown with great subtlety and artistry in a one and a half hour presentation.
Story of the play: The play begins with Ganga Aarti.
The play is based on the life journey of Bhartendu ji in the last seven days, in which the playwright has sent Bhartendu to take a form of death by his imagination. How does a playwright deal with death? What happened to Bhartendu from death and how does death take him with him. An attempt has been made to show Bhartendu’s writings, his personal life, thoughts, dreams, social concerns and immediate circumstances with great beauty in the play. Cross-border drama is a gift to the great Yugpurush playwright Bharatendu. Through this, an attempt was made to tell about the mythological and spiritual importance of Kashi (Banaras) and widow marriage etc. Tana ji appeared on stage in the serious character of Bhartendu. Director Preeti Jha Tiwari told that this was the fourth performance of the play. This time it was prepared in just ten days.
