Bhopal (New World Representative). Bhopal’s Akshat Raghuvanshi’s scintillating century in his debut match has put Madhya Pradesh in a strong position against Meghalaya in the Ranji Trophy.
In the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium, Meghalaya won the toss and elected to bat first, Madhya Pradesh bundled it out for just 61 runs. In reply, MP made a huge score of 499 runs in the first innings and took a decision lead of 438 runs. In MP’s innings, Shubham Sharma scored a brilliant 111 runs in the first innings. After this Akshat Raghuvanshi also played a brilliant innings of 100 runs. He faced 124 balls in his innings and hit one six and 12 fours. This is Akshat’s first Ranji Trophy match. He has already made a record by scoring a century in the first match. Rajat Patidar of MP scored 86 and Yash Dubey also played a brilliant innings of 85 runs. Meghalaya scored 16 runs in the second innings without losing any wicket.
Mayank Academy beat VS Academy with Vikas’s century and Atharva’s lethal bowler
Bhopal . Mayank defeated VS Club by 189 runs in the Saad Ansari One Day Cricket Tournament due to Vikas Sharma’s blistering century (168 not out) and Atharva’s lethal bowling (5 wickets).
In the match played at Jail Bagh ground, Mayank Academy scored a huge score of 279 runs losing one wicket in the allotted 40 overs. Vikas Sharma played an unbeaten 168 in 128 balls with the help of 18 fours and three sixes. Apart from this, Devansh Yudhuvanshi played an unbeaten innings of 84 runs in 87 balls with the help of 12 fours and 1 six. Mohit of VS Club took 1 wicket. Chasing 280 runs, the team of VS Club was reduced to 90 runs. Sankalp Parashar contributed 24 runs and Shivansh Uike contributed 22 runs. Mayank Academy’s Arthav took five and Shivansh Chaturvedi took three wickets.
