There will be a CBI inquiry into the violence in West Bengal’s Birbhum. The Calcutta High Court gave this order on Friday. Along with this, the court has also asked to file a report in this matter by April 7. At present, the SIT is investigating this case.
A petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court, seeking a CBI probe into the Birbhum fire incident that killed eight people. The petition has been filed by Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta, alleging that the local authorities are trying to save the real perpetrators of the horrific incident due to the influence of the state’s ruling Trinamool Congress.
