Rules became stricter for these people
According to the new rule, people who have swapped their SIM cards in recent times should not be able to port their mobile number. That means those users will not be able to switch their mobile number to any other company. Generally SIM card swapping happens when the SIM is lost or the SIM card gets broken. In this condition, users give their old SIM to their telecom operator and get a new SIM.

While posting the new rule from its official X account, TRAI said that users will not be able to port to any other company for seven days after swapping the SIM. Let us tell you that there are often such cases of cyber fraud in which scammers make people victims of fraud through SIM swapping. By doing SIM swapping, all the phone calls, messages and OTP of one person starts going to the other phone.
