Students from many countries including Pakistan are not allowed
China has not yet allowed admission to students from many countries including Pakistan. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who visited China earlier this month, also raised this issue prominently with the Chinese authorities. At that time, China had also promised Pakistan that soon 28,000 Pakistani students would be admitted to China.
China has also given the same assurance to leaders of several other countries including Mongolia, Singapore and Sri Lanka. However, China has not set any deadline with this promise. In fact, it is becoming the issue of the future for thousands of students around the world. Despite paying hefty fees, students from many countries are sitting at home.
