To respond to China’s tactics, India can hand over the first batch of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile to the Philippines on Friday i.e. today. People associated with this entire matter have given this information. Sources said that the supply is going to happen two years after a US $ 375 million agreement was signed with the South East Asian country Philippines for the supply of this weapon system. The missiles being given to the Philippines are of smaller version.
Agreement was signed with Philippines
Sources said a military transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force may reach the Philippines carrying missiles and launchers. India had signed an agreement with the Philippines for the supply of three batteries of the missile in January 2022. Philippines will be the first country to which India will supply the state-of-the-art BrahMos missile.
There is tension with China
It is noteworthy that the Philippines is getting this missile system at a time when there are continuous reports of conflict with China in the South China Sea. Philippines’ strength will increase after acquiring BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. The Philippines will deploy three batteries of the BrahMos missile system in its coastal areas to protect against any threat in the region.
BrahMos is included among the deadly missiles
It is named after the Brahmaputra and Moskva rivers. BrahMos missiles have been developed by BrahMos Aerospace, a joint venture company set up by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Mashinostroyenia of Russia. Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia are also in talks with India to buy BrahMos, one of the world’s deadliest missiles. The special thing is that all these countries have a maritime border dispute with China.
