London, March 18 (-AnyTV News)| The BBC quoted a British military expert as saying that Ukraine was “humiliating” Russia on the battlefield.
“The Russians are making almost every tactical mistake that is possible to make,” says Professor Michael Clarke, former director of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) think tank.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, he said, “They (Russian soldiers) look like forces that were completely unprepared, who had not imagined what a major operation might look like.
“The Ukrainians are blocking Russian advances in all areas and are even now launching fairly effective counterattacks. The Russians are losing a lot of equipment and troops,” he said.
Clark says Ukraine has a “NATO standard” battlefield command and control system, which was built with the help of NATO countries since 2014.
They say the Friday morning attack on an aircraft maintenance plant in Lviv makes it clear that ‘the Russians are going to the infrastructure that is keeping Ukrainian planes in the air.’
Clarke said the attack on the western city, just 70 km from the Polish border, was also “an attempt to scare the West from helping Ukrainians.”
