For the convenience of the passengers coming to the station from the Western Railway Colony, about four years ago, Bharat Oman Refinery had prepared the booking, office, shed and toilet by spending about Rs 25 lakh. Even after years have passed, the railways has not started the booking office. Due to lack of maintenance, cracks developed in the walls of the booking office and the spouts of toilet taps have been taken away by thieves. The situation is that before starting the booking office, the railways will have to repair the booking office. Actually, the officers and employees working in the refinery come by trains. To reach the railway station, they have to reach the station through the city. For the convenience of its employees and the residents of the city, BORL had suggested to set up a booking office on its behalf in the Western Railway Colony. It was said that with the opening of the booking office on the Western Railway Colony side, the refinery employees and the townspeople will be able to reach the railway station directly through Naibasti, without the need to come to the city. On the suggestion of the refinery, the railways agreed to set up a booking office. At a cost of about 25 lakhs, the refinery had installed booking office, shed, toilets and chairs inside the shed for passengers to sit. After the foot over bridge and the booking office were ready, the Railways had also installed ATVM machines in the booking office for issuing tickets. The officials have also started the booking office, but till now not a single ticket has been issued from the booking office. Due to lack of maintenance, cracks have developed in the walls of the booking office and four electric boards have been taken out even to the taps. After this, the railway officials do not pay attention to this.

Under ground pipeline for water was fitted in the toilet of the booking office. But the thieves have taken out the spouts. Surprisingly, water is being wasted from the tap without a spout for almost a month, but the railway officials are not even aware of it. Apart from this, mischievous people have damaged the window doors as well as breaking the wash basin.

The purpose of the railways behind making the booking office was to give relief to the passengers coming to the station from the Western Railway Colony. But due to non-operation of booking office, passengers have to go to the main ticket home via foot over bridge. Many times TC catches them during ticket checking on the bridge, which creates a situation of controversy. Despite this, the booking office is not being started by the Railways. Tried to talk to the local railway officials in this regard, but they refused to tell anything. On the other hand, Railway PRO Subedar Singh could not be contacted over the phone.
