Raipur. CG Budget 2022: The budget of Chhattisgarh will be presented on March 9. The discussion on this in the House will start on March 10. Speaker of the Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahant told that the session will start with the address of the Governor on 7th. On this day, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will present the third supplementary budget of the current financial year. The supplementary will be discussed on March 8.
In the press conference held on Saturday in the committee room of the Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Mahant told that the session will continue till March 25. A total of 13 sittings of the House will be held during this period. A total of 16 to 82 questions have been reported by members for the session. Along with this, 114 lists have been postponed. The Speaker said that the general discussion on the budget would start from March 10. The same demands for grants will be discussed from March 11 to 23.
Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly is moving towards paperless work
Steps have been taken in the direction of paperless work in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. It has been started from the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha. Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha Dr. Charan Das Mahant informed that the facility of putting members online for the session has been started. A total of 16 to 82 questions have been received for the session, out of which 1499 have been received online.
The Speaker said that a study is being conducted in this regard from IIT Kharagpur. He said that the first report of the institute has come, according to which there is a possibility of saving 45500 paper per year. He told that the assembly in Himachal Pradesh is paperless. Efforts are being made in this direction in Parliament also.
Assembly diary released
During the program the Speaker of the Assembly released the diary of the Vidhan Sabha. In this program, former member of the assembly Gurmukh Singh Hora, chairman of Raipur Development Authority, Subhash Sabha’s principal secretary Chandrashekhar and others were present.
