West Bengal international master Kaustav Chatterjee held PSPB’s top seed Grandmaster B Adhiban to a draw in the third round of the 58th Senior National Chess Championship.
Adhiban, playing with white pieces, agreed to draw the bet against his West Bengal rival after 73 moves. In the match, second seeded Grandmaster Arjun Arigesi of Telangana defeated Sayantan Das of International Master Railway.
He is jointly topped by Grandmaster Abhijit Gupta of PSPB, D Gukesh of Tamil Nadu, Aryan Chopra from Delhi, Harsha Bharat Koti of Telangana, Ravi Teja of Railways, Utsav Chatterjee of West Bengal and A Vishwas.
All of them have won all their three games so far. While Abhijeet defeated P Shyam Nikhil of Railways. Gukesh, Aryan and Harsha defeated Samad Shete, Anuj and Harshad S.
