Lakhimpur: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that China cannot capture even ‘one inch’ of land under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. He claimed that the public can never forget that former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had said ‘bye-bye’ to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh during the Chinese attack in 1962.
Said this during a public meeting in Assam
Addressing an election rally in Assam’s Lakhimpur, Shah said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government secured the border with Bangladesh and stopped infiltration.
What else did Shah say?
Amit Shah fiercely targeted Congress and Rahul Gandhi. Addressing the rally, he said that you will have to decide on April 19 who will be your MP, which party will form the government and who will be the next Prime Minister. You have two options, on one side there is INDI alliance under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and on the other side there is BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
Amit Shah also raised the issue of Ram temple here. He said, ‘I want to tell you that in the coming days, Assam will become a developed state like other states of the country. Congress kept the Ram Mandir issue pending for years. But the decision was taken during the tenure of PM Modi and along with the Bhoomi Pujan, ‘consecration’ also took place on January 22.
