New Delhi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the top officials to provide assistance to the families affected by the damage caused by the storm and rain. Regarding the damage caused by storm and rain in UP on Monday, the CM has given instructions to provide financial help to those families in the meeting. There have been 22 casualties in the state due to storm, 12 due to drowning and 5 due to lightning. There have been a total of 39 casualties in the state. Apart from this, 03 people have been injured due to lightning and 03 animal losses have been reported from Shahjahanpur and Banda districts. CM has directed to provide ex-gratia assistance within 24 hours to the families affected by the loss of life due to storm, lightning and drowning in the state.
Ex-gratia assistance is given from the State Disaster Response Fund in case of damages caused by the notified calamities such as storm, lightning and drowning etc. by the Government of India and the State Government. Under which, in case of death due to notified calamities, Rs 4.00 lakh per person, 59,100 per person in case of physical disability from 40 percent to 60 percent, 2.00 lakh per person in case of more than 60 percent physical disability, grievous injury causing a 12700 per person for hospitalization for more than a week and Rs 4300 per person for hospitalization of less than a week.
