Indore, New Dunia Rep. These days, Khajuraho is not only lit up with the beauty of classical and folk dance, but it is also getting drenched in the world of colors. An art exhibition has been organized under the ongoing Khajuraho Dance Festival in this city, which has a history in itself. A painting exhibition has been organized by Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet and Kala Akademi, Madhya Pradesh Sanskriti Parishad under Kala Mart 2022. The exhibition, which started on February 20, will continue till February 26. Artworks of 10 artists of the country have been displayed in it. Eight of these artists are from Indore.
This exhibition is of artefacts prepared with watercolors. This exhibition has been organized under the direction of city’s senior painter Shubha Vaidya. Selected works from the artefacts received for the exhibition are being displayed here. Most of the paintings displayed in the exhibition have been created by artists in tangible style. Some have made the basis of the ancient painting style and some have developed their own style and depicted it here. City’s young artist Lovina Nimgaonkar, representing this group of artists, says that the exhibition includes the work of Vandana Srivastava of Lucknow, while the paintings of Sangeeta Aggarwal of Neemuch have also been displayed.
Lovina’s paintings are also displayed here. If we talk about the artists of Indore, then there are works of senior artists like Dr. Sushma Jain and Shubha Vaidya, then series of paintings of experienced artists like Anupama Jain, Neeraj Dixit, Vandita Srivastava have also been displayed here. Apart from this, paintings of Vaidehi Namjoshi and Ritika Jain are also on display among young artists. A wide and beautiful range of watercolor based paintings can be seen here.
