New Delhi : Congress has released a new list for the Lok Sabha elections. Names of 5 candidates have been announced in this list. The party has changed its candidates on Rajsamand and Bhilwara seats of Rajasthan. Dr. Damodar Gurjar has been fielded from Rajsamand Lok Sabha seat and CP Joshi from Bhilwara.
CP Joshi has been given the ticket in place of Damodar Gurjar in Bhilwara and Damodar Gurjar has been given the ticket in place of Sudarshan Rawat in Rajsamand. According to the list of candidates released by the party, tickets have been given to E.Tukaram from Bellary, Karnataka, Sunil Bose from Chamarajanagar and Raksha Ramaiah from Chikballapur.
Congress has so far announced 212 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Earlier it had declared a total of 208 candidates in eight different lists. Elections for the 18th Lok Sabha in the country will start from April 19. After this, voting will be held in six more phases on 26 April, 7 May, 13 May, 20 May, 25 May and 1 June.
About 97 crore registered voters in 543 constituencies of Lok Sabha will be able to exercise their franchise at 10.5 lakh polling stations. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.
