Congress has released an eighth list of its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Congress has announced the names of its candidates for UP, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Telangana. There are names of 14 candidates in the list. The names of three candidates each from Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh and four candidates each from UP and Telangana are included.
Bhanu Sharma candidate against Shivraj Singh Chauhan
Pratap Bhanu Sharma has got the ticket from Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh and Rao Yadvendra Singh has got the ticket from Guna. Pratap Bhanu Sharma will challenge former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Yadvendra Singh, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. While Chauhan is contesting the Lok Sabha elections after two decades, Scindia is the BJP’s first Lok Sabha candidate from Guna. Earlier he used to contest elections from Guna on Congress ticket, but four years ago he joined BJP. Tarwar Singh Lodhi has been made the candidate from Damoh, Madhya Pradesh.

Sukhdev Bhagat got ticket
According to the list of candidates released by the party, tickets have been given to Dolly Sharma from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Nakul Dubey from Sitapur, Virendra Chaudhary from Maharajganj and Shivram Valmiki from Bulandshahr. Congress has fielded Kalicharan Munda from Khunti in Jharkhand, Sukhdev Bhagat from Lohardaga and Jaiprakash Patel from Hazaribagh. Jayaprakash Patel had recently resigned from BJP and joined Congress. Sugan Kumari Chelimala from Adilabad in Telangana, T. Jeevan Reddy from Nizamabad, Neelam Madhu from Medak and C Kiran Kumar Reddy from Bhongir have been made Congress candidates.
Congress has so far announced 208 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Earlier, it had released seven separate lists and declared a total of 194 candidates. Elections for the 18th Lok Sabha in the country will start from April 19. After this, voting will be held in six more phases on 26 April, 7 May, 13 May, 20 May, 25 May and 1 June.
