Delta variants of Corona found in 104 countries so far
Beijing, July 13 (IANS)| Dr. Tredos, Director-General of the World Health Organization, said in a press conference held on 12 July that the global pandemic still remains serious due to the spread of the Kovid-19 virus and the unbalanced supply of vaccines. The number of corona infected in the world is increasing for the fourth consecutive week. He said that now delta variants of corona have been found in more than 104 countries and territories. Due to the high infection of this virus, the number of new cases and deaths in the world has increased again.
He condemned the imbalance and bias in the global vaccine supply in the press conference. He appealed to rich countries not to buy so-called strong dose vaccines. He further said that the supply of vaccines around the world is extremely unbalanced and unjust. Some countries and territories are buying millions of vaccines for stronger doses, while other countries do not have the capacity to provide vaccines for their healthcare workers and the most vulnerable communities.
