Violence broke out in Khargone on April 10 last month during the Ram Navami procession. After which curfew was imposed there. This curfew was ended by the district administration on Wednesday. Giving information, Khargone SDM Milind Dhonke said that the curfew implemented from April 10 has been completely abolished today.
The decision was taken after the peace committee meeting. He said that now all religious places will remain open. There will be no restriction of any kind on them. However, he has not taken any decision on playing DJ sound yet.
Let us inform that after the violence that broke out in Khargone, about 74 cases were registered. In which about 177 people have been arrested. Police is still scouring different districts to arrest the absconding accused.
A person named Ibris was killed in Khargone violence, while a person named Shubham is seriously injured and is undergoing treatment in Indore. Khargone SP Siddharth Chaudhary was shot in the leg during the violence. At the same time, many police personnel including Kotwali TI Banwarilal Mandloi were injured due to injuries.
After the violence, the state government and the district administration, taking action against the rioters, had bulldozers on their illegal constructions. The opposition had targeted the government over the action of the bulldozer. Recently, a victim has also filed a petition in the Indore High Court against this action of the government. After which the High Court has called for a reply from the state government regarding this action.
