new Delhi. The body of a 22-year-old man was found in the passenger’s bag in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area on Friday morning. This information was given by an officer. The deceased has not been identified yet.
DCP Sameer Sharma said that they received a PCR call at Mangolpuri police station at around 7 am, following which the local police immediately reached the spot near Pir Baba Mazar, Main Road, opposite Y Block Mangol Puri.
“As soon as the police reached the spot, they found a purple colored traveler’s bag containing the slit body of an unidentified man aged 20/22 years,” the officer said.
The police have registered a case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code and started investigation.
“The CCTV footage installed in the surrounding areas will be examined to identify the deceased and several teams have been formed to develop intelligence regarding the incident,” the DCP said.
Meanwhile, the police have also informed all the neighboring police stations and districts to check the missing person’s record.
