New Delhi. ED has now sent summons to Delhi Minister Kailash Gehlot in the Delhi liquor scam case. ED has called Gehlot for questioning today itself. AAP Aadmi Party MLA from Najafgarh Kailash Gehlot is the Transport, Law and Home Minister in the Delhi government led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Gehlot has been asked to record his statement under PMLA in the liquor policy case. The investigating agency says that Kailash Gehlot was part of the group which had prepared the draft of this liquor policy.
Kailash Gehlot is considered close to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21 in a money laundering case related to Delhi Excise Policy. Kejriwal is currently in ED custody till April 1. During the hearing in the court, Arvind Kejriwal said that I want to thank the ED officials that the interrogation was conducted in a very good environment. This case has been going on for 2 years. I have been arrested even though I have not been found guilty in any court. He said that if you read all the papers, you will ask why I was arrested? Kejriwal said that ED has two objectives, to break the Aam Aadmi Party and to create such an environment that AAP is a corrupt party.
Apart from this, AAP government’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and AAP MP Sanjay Singh have already been arrested in the same case. Apart from this, former Telangana CM KCR’s daughter K. Kavita was also arrested by ED recently. ED claimed in the statement that investigation has revealed that K. Kavita, along with others, had conspired with top AAP leaders including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia to get benefits in the Delhi Excise Policy.
