There is no tension of Aadhaar in Delhi
If the child’s birth certificate is registered with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, then this special facility is going to be available for them. Municipal Corporation of Delhi and NDMC can start this service in April. It is being told that UIDAI’s link will be available on the Municipal Corporation’s portal. As soon as the application for the birth certificate comes, the child’s Aadhaar application number will also come along with it. Yes, the Aadhaar number will not appear on the birth certificate. The information will reach the parents through a pamphlet or SMS. After getting the number, the parents will be able to go to the Aadhaar center and submit the photo and address of the child. After this you will get Aadhaar card. Right now the rule is that biometric has to be updated at the age of 5 years and 15 years. At present, between the age of 3 to 5 years, the parent has to get the child’s Aadhaar card made.
According to a report, 2.5 lakh births are registered in a year in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi area and about 1 lakh in the NDMC-Cantonment area in the capital. At present, the system is such that the children who are born in a hospital or nursing home automatically apply for the birth certificate. After 21 days they also get the certificate from the concerned website. It is understood that since the process of making Aadhaar starts with the birth certificate, forgery will not happen. In fact, many such cases have come to the fore when people get birth certificates made in other states to show the child’s age is less.

End of hassle in passport verification
To speed up the passport verification process, the Central Government has launched the mPassport Police App. This will not only ease the passport verification process but also ensure timely updating and issuance of passports. Police verification is an important part of the passport issuance system. Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had given 350 mobile tablets to the personnel of Special Branch of Delhi Police on the occasion of Delhi Police’s Raising Day. This will make the entire process of police verification and report submission paperless.
Officials have told that now the time taken for verification in Delhi will be reduced from 15 days to five days with the tablet. Shah said that on an average, 2000 passport applications are received in Delhi daily. Due to the process being online, the problems of the people will be reduced and time will be saved.
