New Delhi. The Supreme Court has ordered to stop for the time being the action of removing the illegal occupants of the rioters by bulldozers at Kushal Chowk, a riot area of Jahangirpuri. In this case an application was filed in the court. The court will issue the final order in this matter after hearing tomorrow. At present, the court, while hearing the application immediately today, said that the status quo should be maintained. MCD had deployed 9 bulldozers to take action against illegal occupants in this area. At the same time, even after the oral order of the Supreme Court, after the proceedings continued for a long time in Jahangirpuri, the petitioners have sent a legal notice to the MCD and Delhi Police.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) had earlier sent a letter from Delhi Police yesterday to deploy a large number of forces in Jahangirpuri area. The MCD had said that there are illegal occupants in Jahangirpuri and they have to be removed on April 20 and 21. For this, at least 400 jawans, including women constables, were expected to be deployed for security. It was only after this that the Delhi Police along with its soldiers and central forces made Jahangirpuri a cantonment in the early hours. The action is being taken especially at the place where there was fierce violence and arson on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on 16 April.
Earlier, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind had also applied in the Supreme Court against the removal of such illegal constructions by bulldozers. Jamiat Chief Maulana Arshad Madani had said that minorities and especially Muslims are being targeted by the politics of bulldozers. Let us inform that first of all, UP CM Yogi Adityanath started running bulldozers against the illegally occupied property of rioters, mafia and goons. Recently, after the violence in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, the government of Shivraj Singh had also demolished illegal occupations by running bulldozers. At the same time, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand had bulldozed illegal shops in Haldwani.
