Besides this, the minister also informed the House that 147 citizens from 18 countries were evacuated during the evacuation operations, including neighboring countries like Bangladesh and Nepal.
Referring to the major implications of the Ukraine conflict, Jaishankar said it has major economic implications; Its impact on energy and commodity prices is already visible. “The disruption in the global supply chain is expected to be significant. India has a substantial deal with both Russia and Ukraine and is under evaluation by the government.”
