ED has currently reached Arvind Kejriwal’s house. The search and interrogation of his house is ongoing. Kejriwal did not get relief from arrest today from Delhi High Court. About 6 to 8 ED officers are present at CM Kejriwal’s house. DCP North is also present with his force outside Kejriwal’s house. After this, Arvind Kejriwal’s legal team has approached the Supreme Court. Delhi Police has closed all the roads outside the Chief Minister’s residence.
Along with this, Aam Aadmi Party workers of Delhi are reaching the spot and raising slogans. Along with the police, now paramilitary forces have reached the spot. It is feared that ED may arrest Arvind Kejriwal tonight. Today ED has served 10th summons to Arvind Kejriwal. Along with this, his interrogation is going on.
Earlier in the day, the Delhi High Court had refused to grant any protection to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from punitive action in a money laundering case related to excise policy. A bench of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Manoj Jain has listed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kejriwal’s application seeking protection for further consideration on April 22. His main petition challenging the summons will also be heard on the same day (April 22).
